Mundayo Aash

The West Arsi Zone is not among Ethiopia's most prominent coffee-growing regions and was long classified as Sidama coffee, a far more famous region in the immediate vicinity. The fact that West Arsi is now viewed much more independently is also due to districts like Nensebo, which have been producing outstanding coffees for years.

The Aash Washing Station, like the Gara Kogne Washing Station, is part of Faysel Yonis' family business. As is typical in Ethiopia, the cherries don't grow on large farms, but are distributed among hundreds of smallholders around the town of Werke. These smallholders deliver their harvested cherries to the Aash Washing Station, where they are then processed using a natural method. This coffee

is suitable for preparation as filter coffee as well as espresso in flat whites or cappuccinos.
